Taz – 4 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Taz is a four year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross who hasn’t had a good start in life. He was regularly left without food or water and the other dog in that original house we are told died of dehydration. However he’s been taken in by a kind couple who have their own dogs but will keep him until we can find him his own home.

He’s a typical Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross in that he is giddy and boisterous and will potentially skittle young children but there is no malice there at all. He’s living with two other dogs and a cat at present and could live in a house with other animals quite happily.

He will put his paws on the side to try and find food to steal (a throwback to the days he wasn’t fed) but does listen when you tell him no. He would like a home where he isn’t left more than a few hours at a time. He’s a stunning boy and will flourish in the right home. He’s neutered and chipped and we will get him vaccinated as part of the adoption process.

Toby – 3 year old male Mastiff cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Toby is a three year old male Mastiff cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loved his dad very much but sadly needs a new home. He is now in foster and we’ve agreed that he needs a week to settle before he has any potential meets arranged.

He’s a very friendly boy but needs a sensible home as he will push the boundaries if he thinks he can get away with it. He’s good with other dogs unless they show aggression towards him and he’s always lived with cats. He’s lived with children 8+.

He’s currently overweight but we will be working with him on that (sorry Toby but a diet and exercise plan is on the cards for you!). He travels well in the car. Does pull on his lead but with more revalue exercise and training this can be worked on. He’s in foster in Mansfield. Homechecks and adoption fees apply.

Alex – 1 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Alex is an 1 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. He is a very nervous and worried boy, but with a very sweet temperament. He would be most suited to be rehomed with a family with children over 13 years old, but could equally be happy in an older household, or with a single person as long as they were active and gave him the training and exercise that he needs.

Whilst Alex has not lived with another dog, he has been fine with all the dogs that he has met since he has been in our care and may be able to live with another dog. Equally, he may be able to live with a friendly cat.

Peggy – 6 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Peggy is a 6 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. She is a quiet and sweet natured girl who is very anxious about new people and environments and is looking for a home that can work with her and build up her confidence.

Peggy is not sure about other dogs but after a number of meet and greets she does improve, due to being worried by them we would advise that she is the only dog in the home. She is very interested in cats and rabbits so at this time advise that she goes to a home without them.

Although a puppy and good with people due to her nervous nature we are advising that Peggy goes to a home with older children over 11 years who are familiar with dogs and comfortable around them. Peggy loves to play and is very gentle with this, she also walks very well on a lead and sits on command.

Missy – 11 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Missy is a beautiful 11-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who is in an Oldies Club foster home in Chorley, Lancashire. Missy is fine about being left on her own for up to 5 hours, so she can live in a working household. Provided she had a garden break at lunchtime she could potentially live with full-time workers. She does like to have company though. She sleeps on the bed with her foster carer. Missy doesn’t like to have other dogs (or cats) in her space. Missy isn’t keen on children so needs an adult-only home, or one with sensible late teenagers only and no visiting youngsters.

Missy is well-behaved on walks, with great recall provided she is not loose around other dogs or children. Whenever a dog or child is in sight Missy needs to be on a lead. She likes about 30 minutes to 1 hour’s walking daily, around an open field. Missy doesn’t seem to see walkies as a toilet break though and so she will not go to the toilet but then will go when she returns home to the garden. She does need reminding to go to the toilet too.

Missy loves food. She likes to play with her toys and she enjoys lots of cuddles. She likes to be the centre of attention and she loves her tummy being tickled. She also loves sunbathing. She hates lightning and thunder and fireworks. She needs a lot of attention and wrapping up when these happen. A quiet home with one or two adults living in the household and not too many visitors. She needs a garden.

Missy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has been wormed and flea treated. She is on a joint supplement but nothing else at the moment. She has an issue with her paw that flares up every now and again, but the vet says it is not too much to worry about.

Ralph – 4 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross German Shepherd Dog

Hi everyone! My name is Ralph and I am a 4 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross German Shepherd Dog. Unfortunately my family are moving and cannot take me with them. I have been neutered, microchipped and my vaccines are up to date. I haven’t lived with another dog but I have some doggy friends that I spend time with, but I can be a little protective over my ball! I’m a good boy off the lead and after initial excitement walk well on the lead.

I will bark when new humans come to the door but welcome people into our home. I might jump up if I’m extra excited! I’ve live with a 6 year old child who was just 2 when I came into the family. I’m very respectful of her and I don’t knock her over! I’m fine to be left and I’m house trained and non destructive. I travel well in the car. I did have sore ears for a while but since my food has been changed they have been fine! I do not like cats!

A lady came to assess me in my home and I greeted her nicely and went to play with my ball. I sat and gave her my paw and let her stroke me all over. I couldn’t stop my tail from wagging though! She threw my ball and I fetched it and brought it back to her.

Buster – 2-3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Buster is a two and a half year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. He is a very loving and energetic young dog who will definitely need an active owner who can keep up with his energy levels. Buster does not like to be on his own and so will need to be in a household where he has company all the time. Whilst Buster will need an experienced owner who can give him the basic training that he needs he could live in a household with children of Secondary School age, or older.

Buster would be best placed as an only dog in his new home. He does seem to have good basic house training and good house manners. He loves to play with toys and to play games and has proved himself to be quite a bright spark whilst he has been in our care and after a game he loves nothing better than fuss, attention and cuddles.

Sophie – 12-13 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Sophie is a 12-13 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. This pretty wee girl is waiting patiently for someone to fall for her like we have! Her story is a sad one – she is only 12-13 months old and she sadly found herself unwanted and in the pound. Not only that but when she was there she was badly attacked by another dog and her muzzle was covered in puncture wounds. Her wounds were badly infected and needed emergency vet treatment but that is behind her now and we would love to see her move out of kennels into her own family home.

She needs to be an only dog as she is going to take time and patience to get her confidence up with other dogs but she adores people and just loves her cuddles as you can see from her photos.

Sophie is in Scotland with Underheugh Ark Rescue and can be rehomed in Scotland.

Jerry – 1-2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Mastiff

Jerry is a 1-2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Mastiff and loves to play and have a cuddle. However I’m not sure he realises that he is not a lap dog. Jerry walks well on the lead and doesn’t seem bothered by other dogs, however we would really like him to go a home on his own as we feel he deserves all the attention.

Bonnie – 4 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross English Bull Terrier

Bonnie is a 4 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross English Bull Terrier. She came to us as she was found wandering. Bonnie will need someone with breed experience who can teach her how to approach things with more thought as she currently jumps into situations both feet first. Bonnie is so eager to please she picks things up super quickly and just wants to be loved by every ounce of your being.

We dont feel she is used to being left alone so would need a little help learning that this is ok and building up to longer times. She is such a happy girl she loves life and wants some one to enjoy it with. This girl has so much to give and will make a beautiful companion. Bonnie can be an only pet as she greets dogs a little over eager and wants to play with them but not every dog would appreciate this. Bonnie is so desperately needing someone to allow her to be the best version of her.
