Tilly – 7 year old female Poodle cross Bichon Frise

Tilly is a 7 year old female Poodle cross Bichon Frise. Tilly is a sweet sensitive little lady who has come into rescue due to her anxiety. Her family were struggling to cope with her and felt that their busy lifestyle was a contributing factor to her feeling so anxious all the time. Tilly suffers from some separation anxiety and gets generally anxious when she knows you are going to leave. This manifests in her panting, drooling, crying and getting herself quite worked up.

Tilly’s anxiety is better when she has a calm canine companion to follow the lead of however it does not eradicate the problem completely. We would consider dog free homes if the applicant is around most of the day but if she is to be routinely left for a reasonable duration of time then another resident canine is needed. Tilly is very sweet and affectionate and absolutely adores humans. She would be an incredible companion for an elderly or retired person and has been fantastic with children too so we are happy to consider homes where there are children age 7+. We feel younger children and a busier household may make her anxiety worse.

Tilly knows basic commands, is housebroken and non destructive in the home. She is crate trained and travels well in one or with a seatbelt attachment. She is very sensitive and struggles with change but if you do it gradually at her pace her anxieties are very workable. Tilly is quite straightforward and easy going. She has no major issues aside from the separation anxiety. She needs a home with no young children and someone who is around most of the day to love on her. She’s very affectionate and would adore a home of her own and a lap to lay on. We are confident Tilly will succeed in any home providing these basic guidelines are met. Tilly is a real joy to have around and will make someone very happy.

Tilly is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and will be subject to a home check and adoption donation.

Vegas – 11 year old male Maltese cross Bichon Frise

Vegas is an 11 year old male Maltese cross Bichon Frise. His owner died 2 years ago, he lived in the apartment and was very loved. But after the death of the owner he was taken by some Gypsies, where he ate from the garbage, had 1 broken leg and was very neglected and tormented. I found the streets hungry and grieving. I will do anything to stop his suffering but he needs a family. His only flaw is that with a front paw he has moments when he goes limp because he has an old fracture. He is very good with other dogs and children.

From his foster mum in UK: He is fine with men, women and children (both young and older). He could be a bit dominant towards other dogs, but he is good with my dogs at home. He hasnt met any cats while being with me. He doesnt have any reaction to birds. He is fine with collar, walks on the lead but pulls a bit. He has no food aggression. Has a noticeable limp, but both vets in Romania and UK say this is an old injury which no longer troubles him.

He doesn’t seem to be in pain and enjoys his walks. Does not “sit” on command but does “stop” with verbal cues. Still early days but is not over affectionate, might be because other dogs already on sofa/lap or might be independent. Happy to sleep through the night on his doughnut bed. Think with time he will become more affectionate. Fostered in Southampton.

Phoebe – 4-5 month old female Shih Tzu cross Bichon Frise

Phoebe is a 4 1/2 month old female Shih Tzu cross Bichon Frise. She came into us due to serious illness in her first family. This little dog is absolutely delightful. Already virtually house trained. She walks on lead, has a pretty good recall, but does get a little distracted at times. She travels very well in the car. She is child friendly, adores other dogs, especially bigger ones, and loves to play rough tough and boisterous games with them.

Phoebe is a proper dog, she isn’t a handbag dog at all and loves to have fun in the wet and mud. She also loves cats too, but would really like to play, hence could be a bit much for a timid or elderly cat. Phoebe is very bright, and very active, she would not be suitable as an old person’s companion, nor in a family with small children.

Phoebe is sound sensitive and inclined to bark at noises she can’t identify, or that excite her, so best in a home without paper-thin walls and close neighbours, to avoid conflict whilst she learns more appropriate behaviours. She needs someone who can concentrate on her, provide plenty of stimulation and guidance while developing her character. She would make a fantastic agility dog, perhaps an agility families’ teenagers first dog?

She would also enjoy, and excel at tricks like dancing with her owner.

Vinny – 11 month old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross Bichon Frise

Vinny is an 11 month old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross Bichon Frise. He has come to us to be re homed as he is no longer needed for breeding. He knows nothing of life in a home so everything is new and rather scary for him. He will need new owners who are around for a good part of the day and there must be at least one other similar sized well rounded social resident dog. Vinny needs a happy social friendly dog to teach him all about life in a home.

He knows nothing of walking on a lead, his foster is helping him with this but it is likely to be ongoing in his new home. We would love to hear from applicants who have experience of nervous dogs. Vinny travels well in the car and is clean and quiet. He has made good progress with his house training and has been clean providing he has a few reminders during the day. It may be that he has a few accidents initially when he goes to his new home but this should settle very quickly.

As Vinny is so nervous older teenagers only please, life in general is very overwhelming for him currently and he would not be able to cope with children. When Vinny arrived he had a terribly infected cut to his ear, we have no idea how this happened but his ear had been torn. It has been cleaned and treated but could not be repaired so Vinny (Vincent Van Gogh) now has a split in his ear. Once his fur has grown back it won’t be noticeable unless you really look for it.

Vinny has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. He is currently being fostered in Leighton Buzzard. Home check and set donation applies.

Wilbur is a 6 week old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross Bichon Frise. He has come to us as unsold due to having a hernia. He has settled well in foster and is learning all about life in a home. Wilbur is a little shy but is adjusting and getting used to all of the normal sounds and sights of family home life. Wilbur will not be re homed until he has had his hernia repaired and is the right age for re homing.

Like all puppies Wilbur will pee, poop and most certainly chew something that you value, he may well cry overnight whilst she settles. Puppies take time and patience in abundance along with dedication and commitment. We know they look cute, and fluffy and adorable but they need homes that can meet all of their needs hopefully for the next 12-15 years, take time consider the realities and only apply if you honestly can give her what she needs.

They are fine to be re homed with other dogs, cats and small furries – they are young enough to be trained. Any children 8+ please. Betty – 1 year old female Bichon Frise Cross

Betty is a 1 year old female Bichon Frise Cross. Betty is a full on bundle of beans and will need active new owners to meet her needs. She loves other dogs but is a little powerhouse any resident dogs will need to have a similar energy level and also be confident enough to let her know when playtime is over.

She is currently living with several other dogs and would be best placed with another dog, we will consider homes as a single dog provided they are active and could meet her needs. She will be fine to be re homed with older children 10+ as we only have a limited history for her, we suspect cats and small furries would be a no no for this little lady as she is all Terrier.

Betty is great in the car and travels well, she is clean in the house and loves her walks, happy to go for miles. She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is uo to date with flea and worming treatment. She is currently being fostered in in TW13 Middlesex. Home check and set donation applies.

Benji – 5 year old male Bichon Frise cross Jack Russell Terrier

Benji is a 5 year old male Bichon Frise cross Jack Russell Terrier. Benji has come into our care due to finding living in a busy family environment very stressful and his owners feeling that they were not experienced enough to deal with his behavior. He has bitten on 2 occasions; the first being when somebody startled him by leaning over him to kiss him whilst he was sleeping and the second when he was picked up whilst barking at work men outside the home. Unfortunately on that occasion he was incredibly wound up and simply redirected the behavior back at the shock of being picked up. Both instances were preventable but in the interest of full disclosure we are obviously going to be entirely honest about his history.

Benji is a very happy and easy going dog, he is initially a little bit fearful at first meets but very friendly otherwise. He loves going for walks and playing with toys and has a good degree of basic obedience. He walks well on the lead, has an incredible recall and will wait by the road and only cross when instructed to do so. He gets on really great with dogs and enjoys playing with them, he travels well in the car and enjoys going to new places.

Inside the home he is calm and well behaved. He will climb up onto tables to get food if the chairs are not pushed in but we think that’s the cheeky Jack Russell Terrier side. He will also chew up post if given the chance; he’s obviously very considerate of stopping you from stressing over your phone bill. He sleeps quietly downstairs with no issues, does not require a crate and has no separation problems.

Benji is an affectionate little chap who will really thrive in the right home. He is a very simple and uncomplicated lad that has shown no concerning behaviour whilst under our care. He needs a quieter home with structure, routine and with no children so that he has full capability to succeed. He shows fantastic, positive traits of both his breeds with huge potential to train and learn new things. He is an adorable, willing and vibrant dog who will slot straight into any dog loving family.

Benji is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and will be subject to a home check and adoption donation.
